COTROL

The name COTROL is derived from ChOlesTeROL COnTROL

Primary use:

Cotrol promotes healthy cholesterol levels by reducing cholesterol absorption.

Cotrol consists mainly of Phytosterols and is blended with Green Tea, amino acids, flavonoids, and vitamin D3. These work together synergistically in one formula. Cotrol together with a diet high in fibre will help to Control healthy Cholesterol levels.

Phytosterols or plant sterols are found naturally in vegetables, fruits, nuts & grains and are essential components of the cell membranes. Their structure is very similar to that of cholesterol and compete for absorption into the intestine, resulting in less cholesterol being absorbed by the gut. The most common phytosterols are beta-sitosterol, campesterol and stigmasterol.
Thus their similarity in nature to cholesterol, reduces cholesterol absorption. Also supports prostate health.

The Catechins in the Green Tea extract provide a potent antioxidant. 

It is well known that vitamin D boosts calcium deposits in bone and helps regulate the immune system, but there is compelling scientific evidence that it also supports healthy brain function throughout life. We require around 5-15 minutes of unprotected daily sun exposure to optimise vitamin D synthesis from the skin as there are very few foods (mainly fish such as salmon & cod) that naturally contain it. Supplementation is therfore important, especially in winter. Many studies recommend that the daily allowance of this vitamin should be increased up to 2000IU per day in order to be beneficial for most age groups. Recent research also indicates that signs of vitamin D toxicity are detected only after daily dosages exceed 50000IU for several days or weeks.

Suggested daily dose for Cotrol:

1 capsule three times daily, 30 minutes before food.
